Until 1998, sixteen "Look Wide" challenges existed for rangers. These badges are navy blue hexagons with mainly red embroidery (though, as seen in the photos, some colour variation does exist).
These badges were not worn on the uniform. However, for every multiple of four badges earned, a numbered pin was issued, and this pin could be worn on the uniform. Shown here are the 4 and 8 pins, but 12 and 16 also exist. These number pins have an antiqued pewter finish.
The hexagonal badges are 1 1/2" wide (about 37 mm). The numbered pins are quite small: 12 mm wide and 16 mm high (1/2" x 5/8"). The enrolment pin is the same size as in the other branches of Guiding.
